T-shirts have become an essential fashion and lifestyle statement. This book takes a visual journey through the most popular genre, that of music shirts, looking at a range of T-shirts from the classic era of pop culture - the 1970s and 1980s. It also looks at the collections and backstories of T-shirt fans and fanatics.
Sam Knee has travelled extensively worldwide in the pursuit of rare and unusual T-shirts. After dealing in vintage clothing at Portobello market in London, he and co-author Lisa Kidner sold a range of their clothes under the Heart of Glass label at UK retailer Whistles and under the Upper Fifth range at Topshop. Lisa and Sam live in London.
