This poetry collection is a reconstellation of contemporary experiences, imagined through the lens of Greek mythology. This book is a portal that deconstructs so-called reality, reconstructs ancient myths, and finally dissolves into the prophetic days preceding COVID-19.
 
Part tongue-in-cheek stab at exoticisation, and part elegy to the author’s grandmother (quoted in her 80s as saying “το σεξ είναι καλό πράγμα”, or “sex is a good thing”), the collection gradually transforms into a recognition of how essentialist definitions can be wielded, rather than imposed.
 
Traversing tragicomic romances, hidden political histories, ecological collapse, the subtle but steady thrum of suppressed queerness, and ugly angry grief, you wanna be famous? talk about your ethnicity and tack on some sex is a blunt, passionate object hurled at “strange, uncertain times”.
